Miles from Oswego is explosive. Can jump out of the gym. He would be a great addition.

McAuley from W. Aurora is pretty good as well. Tons of potential there. Just scored 22 points and had 18 rebounds against Proviso East in the super sectionals. McGaughy and Simelton from Oswego are solid too.

McAuley is an academic non-qaulifier. He needs to go JC route. He has his best days ahead him according to his coach.

After watching him at West for the last 2 years, he has improved so much. Would like to continue to see him play at NIU in the future.

Is Mcauley better than the Gray twinns, if not we cant use him. We need someone 6'7-6'8 to take their place immediately!

I think so, good inside game. He has a solid mid range and can even hit the 3 from time to time. Over 100 blocks in his high school career. He is very lanky but athletic.

For those who think we are the only ones who have recruits leave after one year. From the Toledo Blade regarding the Rockets last two classes.

"Points must be deduced for a home loss to Western Michigan with a division lead on the line, and for attrition in the 2010 and 2011 recruiting classes. Of seven high school prospects brought in, only Brown is still there. Grade: A-minus

We'd lose the play-in game to get in.

This doesn't really pertain to us but Cully Payne is leaving Loyola and his brother backed out as well. There was some discussion about Cully potentially transferring to NIU last year.

I believe is middle name might by "Izza".

I don't have all the details but this family moved to Schaumburg for him to play basketball in HS as they weren't happy with the HS program where they were.

Iowa....

Loyola....

Next stop? Who would want to try and please his and his families ego's?

Maybe there's a legit reason but this family has a history.....

RE: M BBall recruiting
Cully Payne is a basketball vagabond: committed to DePaul when he was in 8th grade....then when new coach came in at DePaul, he committed to Alabama....when new coach came into Bama, he signed with Iowa where he played one year, had injuries and left for Loyola...again had injuries and is leaving--

he is hardly worth the effort and no doubt, high maintenance.......besides he will have to sit if goes to yet another D1 program which will leave him with one year left...he will probably go D2 and play right away and be unhappy there....

brother probably has the same "grass is always greener" mentality....Porter is lucky to be rid of both of them.
