Pretty strange way to win a game, Charlotte
I'm at work, so I couldn't watch. But down by 3 with 5 seconds left and win by 5 thanks to 3 Richmond techs

Strangest ending to a game I've ever seen. The only explanation is Mooney (Richmond's coach) wanted to be held accountable for the loss.

It was crazy watching it all unfold. It's one thing to choke missing free throws, but it's a pretty bad choke job to get 3 Techs in 3 seconds.

Mooney is an idiot. Nothing that was called was even questionable. An intentional elbow, and YES Pierria was shooting that ball. He was burning time, and trying to get 3 free throws. It worked. I don't get the frustration, we've been doing it all year, watch game film.

Mooney was thrown out, Richmond bench received a tech also.

I just read the recap on espn, they ejected the coach, they shot 10 ft's in a row it looks like, 11 if you count the one and one he missed that lead to the first Technical

No, that intentional on the inbound was a terrible call. The one on the free throw was bogus too.

Just saw it on ESPN. Horrible calls by the officials. Wow. Refs wanted Charlotte to win it looks like. That's ridiculous.

3 technical fouls in the last 5-7 seconds of the game.
10 free threes (CLT) in the same time frame.

Good riddance Richmond. I can't stand those guys.

No excuse for what Mooney did. He cost his team the game. Still not sure what Williams was thinking elbowing Clayton during the first set of free throws. Richmond had that game but melted down. Player and especially coach.

Here's the original tech

I don't think I'd have called that a tech in that situation, but it was stupid.

This video has more of the ending.

Looks like CUSA isn't the only conference to have incompetent officials.
