A unnoticed race going on this year.
Going into the 33rd game of the year:

Rod Rucker 460 pts 14.4 pts a game
Jordan Swing 454 pts 14.2 pts a game

Who will be this years leading scorer.

I think swing wins it.

I think our opponents are going to focus on shutting down rod.

Also, isn't Purifoy on the verge of being the all-time season leader in free throw percentage.

Andy Kennedy has the % record at .902 (111-123) .

Preston is at .907 (68-75). Preston can't miss a free throw today, unless he shoots at least 8, then he can only miss one and still get the record.

Only if today is the last game, which my gut says its not.

If he goes 6 of 7, doesn't he still tie?

It's actually even beyond that.

It would be an exact tie at .9024390243902439.

Southern Miss shut down Rucker in the two previous contests. Rucker needs to keep his composure and just pass the ball to the open teammate. If he forces things against USM, they will just frustrate him again. Offensively, Rucker is the key, even if he doesn't score much today.

+10.

I would like to see Rucker with a triple-double today. 10 points, 10 rebounds, & 10 assists.

Swing has 826 points in his career, 50 from WKU.

Looks like he is the only one who may be able to join the 1000 point club.

Terrance Jones got over 1000 combined with his previous numbers at TA&M CC

The UAB 1000 point club only counts points scored at UAB. Still Swing has 776 and will make 1000 points. Rucker has 480 pts. If we play 32 games (number pulled out of the air) and he averages 16.3 points a game, he will have 1000 points as well.

Purifoy has can get there too. he needs 362 points and again assuming 32 games, he can there with an average of 11.3. Of course he will need to play better next year than he did this year.
