Yes it sucks, but if its necessary, then why not. If it helps catch terrorists on American soil, then I am for it.

The point is it's not necessary, there are ZERO terrorists organizations left in America with that much money that the FBI, CIA and NSA need to be able to access their bank records.

If you can't understand that this is about intimidating any political opponent Obama deems "possibly funding terrorism" then there is no point in addressing you because you have no concept of the way our government and the "amazing, kind, gentle and not at all corrupt" people who work in said government actually work.

This will be used much like the "WMD argument" that you so abhor. Obama accuses a political opponents company or political allies company of possibly funding terrorism, they raid said corporation and go through all their financials and then go "well we didnt find anything, but we found some other stuff" and they either take over said corporation, shut it down or just arrest those in charge. Or at least they threaten to do that to get what they want politically.

If you don't understand the power this grants him, not needing any probably cause to basically audit any corporation he wants, and the extreme potential for abuse, you really are just a clueless sheep. This is a very big deal whether you choose to except the truth or not. It's not a conspiracy theory, it's a serious breach or corporate privacy and freedom, the first of its kind in American history.



Seriously ask yourself this one question......if the FBI and CIA can already access documents on a case by case basis when they deem it necessary and have to show a cause (which is the right thing to do), what on earth could they possibly be accomplishing by doing this that they couldn't already do?????

If you think the real, honest answer is "fighting terrorism" than you must think the patriot act was a tremendous idea because that's what that was for as well. Only a clueless clueless sheep would think giving the federal government unfiltered and unwarranted access to every Americans finances is really ONLY about stopping terrorism.
