Riffing on TheBoro's maybe joking post (with my tongue in cheek).

I could see WKU and ASU courting the MAC and Valley (no reason to not throw UL in as well) trying to replace Creighton or take the Valley to 12 while moving football to the MAC.

Tell your president that the MAC Commissioner grew up in Boone, N.C.
His dad coached at App State.
So talk some Boone stuff with him.

The only way WKU courts the MAC...the CUSA move is dead and it's not.

WKU wants in a southern conference.

Without anything to back the first post up...he/she is trolling

Travel would be horrible but if the alternative is trying to sell tickets to home games vs Liberty and SHSU...

yes those games against the chippewas would be much a bigger draw..

At this point, I would be disappointed if WKU wasn't talking to both. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Have a Plan A and a Plan B.

True, not only would the game be more relevant than playing a FCS school, Mount Pleasant, Michigan is the exact same distance from Jonesboro, Arkansas as Jacksonville, Florida.

I can see why the western SBC schools are not seeing eye to eye with the eastern schools and why Benson hasn't been able to gain consensus on who to add to the Sun Belt. Wasn't the SBC rumored to announce invitations last weekend and then had to call it off because the western schools were upset. Im sure they are gathering together and studying their options.

Agree 100%. Any AD worth his glorious salary better be actively planning for what to do should Armageddon happen to the SBC. Not that I think the SBC will implode, but we're in very fluid times folks and schools that sit and wait are fooling themselves if they believe they're safe.

With that said, I have no idea what the WKU Administration is doing.

Mid-America stretches from the Upper Midwest to the Gulf of Mexico . . those states are not on the East Coast or the West Coast so they are, therefore, Mid-America !! 04-cheers

Yes it would. It would provide a nice warm trip for al those northern schools 03-drunk then force UL to play every game in the cold. Lol

Does not compute. If MAC is playing in the warm while UL is in the cold, are we just using their stadium while they play a game up north?

Norther Illinois vs Toledo in Lafayette, LA!!

Haha suckas!

Haha very funny. All UL road games would just turn cold and it would give the MAC members a nice warm vacation for the road swings

I saw your press conference. You AD is smarter than that.

slycat is right, it's not us. And he's right about why as well.

Maybe Larry would send the PowerPoint, but odds are good he wouldn't bother to update it with last year's information.

At this point, I'd prefer a slightly bruised turnip to Larry steering this ship. At least with the turnip, you don't have to worry about it pissing people off.

At one time I was looking through FIU box scores and they were like 0-6 or worse in games when the temperature was below 70 at kickoff.

Nah. If that happened, App, Ga Southern, NMSU, SHSU and Liberty get the call.

Equivalent of getting WACked

Did you enjoy it when Sun Belt members weren't excited about your addition?

Us staying in the Belch makes no sense. UCF and LA Tech turned their noses up at the Belch and it worked well for them.

Stop insulting the conference that has done so much for your school.

Its not like you guys can just walk to any league you want, you have to be invited. Until then, you better be singing the praises of your current league, or you may always be dissappointed.

It's one thing to be disappointed how things have turned and another thing to insulting toward the league
