Mick's post season record
10-6 in the last 3 years(BE Tourney, NIT and NCAA Tourney).

Bearcats are winning some games int the post season. Love it, hope it continues.

Yep. Can't complain about the Bearcats' postseason work under Mick.

Well you only speak for the reasonable rational fans. But have you read this board? (edited:) I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see plenty of complaining about Mick and the post-season a mere 24 hours from now.

Well I guess he better win the whole darn thing. 03-cloud9

take away bob huggins first 2 appearances with UC in the ncaa tourney and most were a bust. Mick has done pretty well and I know this team doesn't have a lot of good offense, especially inside but we can never doubt that the defense will let us down. Mick has done a great job with defense and that was one thing that I never thought we'd see again after Huggins firing fiasco.
TO NANCY Z....you thought you had destroyed the mens' basketball program at UC but WE won. Click your heels 3 times and say, ' there's no babe like Monica...no babe like Monica.....hahaha
GO MICK AND GO UC!!!!!!!

RE: Mick's post season record
Even when we didn't have great teams we always seemed to play well at BE tourney. The Butler WVU team that beat us on a fluke shot was a final 4 team I believe. Only year we didn't meet expectations in NYC was when we lost to a DePaul team that was winless in conference.

I like to celebrate Cincinnati's continued success under 2 Coaches... I see it as a legacy of excellence... no comparisons needed between coaches/eras. All the teams played with the name Cincinnati across their chest's.

x100

From Weithe to Smith to Jucker to Catlett to Huggins to Cronin = Top Bearcat Coaches

Edit: added Catlett Lurker.

I think Catlett deserves a mention in there. Not the best era of UC BB, but the most overlooked.

Pretty much continuous, save for that gaping hole in the middle that was the 1980's (which is when I happened to be there 03-banghead )

Maybe I'm too young, but what about Baker?

Same for me. I still remember blowing off a study group for a big test to travel to the Cincinnati Gardens, walk under a huge Xavier banner, and watch the Bearcats lose to the University of Missouri-Kansas City (the Fighting Kangaroos).

I thought about adding Baker. Looks like he coached 7 years - 125-60 for .676 percentage, with 1 NCAA berth (1-2) and 1 NIT (0-1), and 1 conf CH. He was a UC player in the 50's. Seems to be a transition period between Jucker and Catlett.
