In these increasingly turbulent times among college athletic conferences, one would think conference officials would think twice (maybe even once) before needlessly putting off one of its top members. Maybe thinking is the problem. At any rate, just more ammunition for Terry leading the cause to leave the MAC.

I love the Mid American Conference but if we were to get the opportunity to join the Atlantic coast Big West Conference I wouuld jump at the opportunity after this needless slight.

I would jump at the opportunity before this needless slight.

Heck, I'd even be willing to move basketball to the A-10 Conference and be football only somewhere else non-MAC, and then pick one or the either for the remaining sports.

Has been interesting to note the grumbling coming from members of a few conferences...Cincy doesn't much care for what the "old" Big East now looks like...some of their co-horts, including UCONN feel the same...some of the members of C-USA worry about "diluting" their league by adding some current Sun Belt members...Temple isn't sure where they belong...UMass doesn't seem to know where they want to call "home"...ditto Navy...

Would take a lot of work, but maybe the most intriguing "mid-major" conference doesn't even exist yet at this time.
