Steals Percentage and Turnover Perecentage
When UAB had the ball, UAB turned the ball over 21.7% of the time in conference games. That was 10th in C-USA. Believe it or not, Rice led the league with a 16.0%.
When UAB was on defense, it caused the opponent to turn the ball over 21.5% of the time, good enough for 2nd place. Southern Miss was first with 23.5%.
Regarding steals, in conference games only, UAB stole the ball 9.8% of the time the opponent had the ball. That was 9th in the conference. Southern Miss was first at 12.9%.
When looking at all games, on a national scale, UAB had the ball stolen 11.6% of the time. That rated 315th in the country. Only Tulsa (317) and Marshall (335) were worse in C-USA in giving up the ball due to steals.
When looking at all games, on a national scale, UAB stole the ball 11.1% of the time, good enough for 81st in the country. Only Memphis (16) and Southern Miss (6) were better in C-USA.

RE: Steals Percentage and Turnover Perecentage
Seems odd that we were 2nd in forced turnovers but 9th in steals

I guess we forced a lot of passes to be thrown out of bounds, players to dribble out of bounds, travel, and forced teams into offensive fouls.
