Kilpatrick, who was also a second-team selection last year, was named to the league’s all-rookie team as a freshman in 2010-11. He finished the regular season with a 17.3-point average, which ranked fourth in the league. He was second in 3-point shots made, averaging 2.52. His 78 three-pointers also ranked second in the conference.

The Big East first-team selections were Shabazz Napier (Connecticut), Otto Porter, Jr., (Georgetown), Gorgui Dieng (Louisville), Jack Cooley (Notre Dame) and Bryce Cotton (Providence).

Joining Kilpatrick on the second team are Vander Blue (Marquette), Jerian Grant (Notre Dame), Michael Carter-Williams (Syracuse) and C.J. Fair (Syracuse).

The third team: Markel Starks (Georgetown), Peyton Siva (Louisville), Tray Woodall (Pittsburgh), Brandon Triche (Syracuse) and JayVaughn Pinkston (Villanova).

Honorable mention: Davonte Gardner (Marquette), Kadeem Batts (Providence), JaKarr Sampson (St. John’s) and Fuquan Edwin (Seton Hall).

The all-rookie team: Omar Calhoun (Connecticut), D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera(Georgetown), Steven Adams (Pittsburgh), Chris Obekpa (St. John’s), JaKarr Sampson (St. John’s) and Ryan Arcidiacono (Villanova).

I love the kid. Congrats. I think he had a down year though, and I think he'd agree about that.

On a sidenote, not having anything to do with Killer........when I look at the All-Big East teams, it sure seems like the talent level is down this year.

I'd agree, I only see one lottery pick (Porter) in there, with only one or two other potential first rounders in there with him. Much different than most years, but I think the TEAMS top to bottom were much more solid this year.

Actually looking at CB across the country I really only see 2-3 sure things in this draft class.

I'm pretty sure Russ Smith of UL made first team also.

I disagree on the ALL BEAST teams. While there is less star power this year, the depth is really impressive. Shabazz Napier had a great and unnoticed year, Otto Porter is a lottery Pick, Russ Smith is the best player on a final 4 team, and the dude from Providence is the leading scorer in the league.

Also, if 17+ ppg is a down year for Killa, i think he's moving in the right direction in terms of development.

Already one of my all time favorite Bearcats. It's been a pleasure to watch SK the past few years.
