Tough week for UA football...

Peyton Hillis, the star FB fullback, is out at least 6-8 weeks with a broken back he suffered against Florida

WR Carlos Ousley quit the team after being demoted to second string behind freshman Marcus Monk

OL Zac Tubbs is out for the season with a broken right leg

LB Clarke Moore is also out for the season with the same broken right leg

Now, we travel to #4 Auburn

This is definitely UA gut check time.

Our Arkansas trip

The trip itself (game outcome excluded) was great. We got to our parking site about 10:30 (up on the end of Maple) and got the tailgatin' going. Lots of good Hog fans around to gab with, lots of spirits, just a great time. At the game, we sat next to a few Hog fans that I gabbed back and forth with the entire game about football in genreal, the Texas game, how much everybody hates tuberville, how the NCAA sux, and our common love for that team in the state to our north. It's a helluva long drive (remember that South Park where the kids were on the DodgeBall team and drove the bus to China - It kinda feels like that "Ok Children, we're almost to Fayetteville"), but a great place to watch a game. The atmosphere was a bit more subdued that 2002 - I'm guessing the Texas game must drained 'em.

The local TV media in NW Arkansas certainly have no problem in sharing their personal opinion about something. The Saturday night news guys made a huge deal about Shula's full-trot post-game handshake. The Sports anchor and the NBC affiliate said on the air that he hopes they "run it up by at least 50 next year in Tuscaloosa." and even called Shula the "epitome of a poor loser".

Anyway, here's the pics - Again thatnx to ANgelfire, cut and paste and remove the "*"

Great pics jay... always enjoy viewing 'em.

This just doesn't look like our year...too young a team. If we beat S. Carolina, we got a chance maybe for a bowl game, but we're going to have to really show what we're made of here these last 4 games.
