jesus...you just don't get it, do you. Let me try this one more time...sigh.

Memphis....expected/predicted by MANY to run through C-USA like a steamroller!!!!......guess what...they DID!!!!

Southern Miss.....expected to SUCK by many in bball this year.....guess what......WE DON'T SUCK, in fact, we are REALLY GOOD!..we went 23-8 (14-2)...our RPI is #34, and we're a bubble team....not only did we accomplish all of that but it was w/ a brand new coach, system, and hardly anyone w/ d-1 experience. sigh. i can't be any more clear, has NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do w/ coaches records head to head.

You are right...they are right...and I don't pacify....

MEM gives us respect as we should give in return regarding the hoops forum....fight the other a-holes...they deserve it at times!

If a MEM poster comes with fb spaghetti soup sandwich...stir it like an Italian.

USM is better than this.....right now, you are giving EP (eagle crap) posers accreditation....

egriz is badass and and not a poser...just sayin'

I am just thankful that I can argue with fans of other schools instead of with fans from my school.

not sure what that means but...04-cheers and COGS and 04-rock

maybe I am skiddish right now....

He's right. Better things are said here about Memphis athletics than what many say where he and I normally live.

Stinkfist, if you don't like this group of Memphis posters, there's a whole brood of worse ones that we could invite.

....and could you turn your PMs on?

Chief, I am going to miss the MEMs more than any other.

To answer your question.....sorry, but no...I hate swiping these new phones and subdirectory crap....i did database crap in my previous life....sorry...have really fat fingers

if you can't post it, it shouldn't be said....JMHO...is why I really like this board...a mixture of thoughts amongst the masses and our own. To me it is a good mechanism for cultural education with those we have 'playground' games with....

I hate subdirectories, too. I have all my music in a single folder... it's a bit slow to sort but **** folder trees.

Computer Science was probably a bad choice.

Memphis was predicted to finish 14-2....they finished 16-0.

USM was predicted to finish in the 4-12 or 6-10 range......they finished 12-4! with : 1. brand new coach 2. brand new system 3. least experienced team in the nation

Tyndall should be hands down the COY for CUSA.

YOU'RE KILLING ME SMALLS, YOU'RE KILLING ME!

Coaching a team to 16-0 in a conference that is #11 RPI when you were predicted to go 14-2 is not much of a surprise and doesn't merit COY in my opinion (and obviously many others).

Same coach that got smoked twice by the rightful COY?

Right? Right?

1)I don't think Jesus has much to do with college basketball.
2) Expected to do badly? Okay. But full disclosure---I think media conglomerates either hype or downplay players and schools to fit their agenda. I thought more of USM than the pundits. Does that make me smart? No. It means I have a healthy respect for CUSA and despise the media outlook garbage.
3) I will admit--Tyndall has done an excellent job. I mean no disrespect when I say JP should win. It is an amazing feat to roll through a conference. Maybe I think more of CUSA than others.

4) either way--peace. I don't have bad feelings about it.

Most of the Memphis fans who were going to be angry had we not gone undefeated became Memphis fans in about 2006.

It's so hard in fact that Memphis has done it what 4 times in the last 7 years?

They should expect the team to go undefeated based on the money and committment we put into the program as opposed to what our conference mates do.

We outdraw our conference mates even when people 10 rows into the third deck are paying $200 per year for one ticket.

So Pastner is expected to do in his forth season what it took Calipari 15 years and three jobs to do just because we draw a lot of fans? By that logic ECU should run the table in football every season...

Cal was at Memphis 15 years?

Pastner inherited the program in much better shape than Cal.

Cal was in about his 15th season as a head coach the first time he went through a conference undefeated. What about that do you not understand.

If you expect a 4th year coach to be as good as one with 15 years experience then you know little about athletics.

Calipari left the program in SUCH GREAT SHAPE that Pastner had to sign Stephens without even seeing him play just to have enough bodies for practice.

Gonzaga clearly has much more support than anyone else in the WCC.....their coach must suck because they don't go undefeated every season.

Murray St has more support than any other OVC program. They didn't even get the auto bid this season.

Anyone who puts undefeated conference seasons as an expectation is an idiot.

If you expect it, see above.

You ignorance and arrogance is showing there little feller.

Sorry, but if Pastner reversed schools, Memphis to UTEP, he'd be down on the standings. Probably not even third seed.

If Pastner were at UTEP he wouldn't have your talent.

Thank you for making my point. 04-rock04-cheers
