#5 Tim Fuller vs #6 Dr. Brett Reed-Vote for the HC Championship
It should come as no surprise that Tim Fuller and Brett Reed have emerged from the initial group of 32. I will be happy tomorrow when this is over and a winner is crowned.
Lets not forget Kevin Keatts, Mike Rhoades and Matt Graves but right now it's all about Fuller/Reed.
Will it be the fast moving hotshot assistant who will likely become a head coach as soon as Missouri is bounced from the tournament? Or will Wood Selig hire a fellow doctor who will be looking to get out of Lehigh while his name is still very hot?
Fuller would bring explosive potential but unlikely to stick around whereas Reed would probably build it slower but more likely to stay.

Not sure what exactly would make Brett Reed more likely to stay longer than Fuller, given his already well-known success at Lehigh.
I actually like Fuller in this one. He comes from all sorts of great coaching trees and would recruit up a storm.
Not a bad year for Lehigh, 2nd 20+ win season in a row. They lost in the semi's of their conference tourney today to Lafayette (lost all 3 games against them this season), so no NCAAs this year for them. It does appear they've had a couple guys plagued by injury this season, including one McCollum (key player) being injured before today's game and over half the regular season. Reed looks good and beat Duke, but he doesn't look like THE BEST hire, to me.

McCollum isn't just a "key player", he is better than bazemore, he was a potential lottery pick before his injury. They were absolutely a potential NCAA tourney team before he got hurt.
Reed is a fantastic recruiter and a fantastic in game coach. I've tried to catch every Lehigh game I could this year and have been very impressed. He runs an uptempo offense which is exactly what we need.
He's from a basketball family (his father won a d3 national championship) and he's pretty much always one of the smartest guys in any room he enters.
He's also already proved he can run his own program, something fuller has yet to do.
With that said, either one of these guys would make a great hire which is why they are both in the finals. Lets just hope Wood is paying a little bit of attention and has them both on his radar.

Only 2 hours and some change remaining, surprised one of the guys doesn't have more votes after compiling 31 in the previous round.

GMU board was wishing for Tommy Amaker after today's game. Won another Ivy League title with Harvard, has Northern Virginia roots. Any thoughts on the possibility of him in Norfolk?

Isn't Harvard a better job? Great shot at NCAA's every year, huge pay and gets great non conference games. Low expectations plus he recruits well and got Keith Wright out of Norfolk.
Maybe not a better job but a different job.

Harvard is pretty cushy no doubt.

Congrats to Dr. Brett Reed who has won this bracket, he would be a fine choice.
