Mercer is going to the NIT. Not the goal the team wanted, but still a solid season. The plus here is Mercer will have a chance to do some real damage in this tournament. Looking forward to the seeding. This is Mercer's first ever NIT appearance I believe.

Sweet (16)! A program defining win tonight! Wow, what a gameplan and execution by the team. now on to BYU! Quite possibly the best I've seen Mercer play all season.

It was also great having Bobby Knight call the game. He really knew his stuff about both teams, and clearly did his homework. These C-list announcers during championship week do minimal homework when they should do the most.

Congrats Bears, well deserved win! A wire-to-wire convincing win.

BYU is an interesting team to scout at first glance:

- They are great on offense, scoring at a high rate, high %, and with a lot of assists.

- BYU lost big to Florida State (by 18) and they are terrible. Mercer rolled over FSU. FSU also put 88 on BYU. Given it was early in the season....but still.

- Much more recently, they lost to a bad San Diego team twice.

- BYU also hung with Gonzaga losing by 5.

Mercer can beat this team, there's no doubt about that. BYU did play an excellent game against Washington in their first round of the NIT match-up. However, Mercer arguably played just as well if not better against Tennessee.. ON THE ROAD.

Mercer is a proven road warrior. Will be a great game!

They moved the game to ESPN NEWS. Still glad I can see it, but that sucks

So far BYU's offense is just too much. Mercer too many bad turnovers and BYU hitting 3's like crazy.

It's the Florida Gulf Coast recipe from the A-Sun title game. Too many 3's dropping, fast pace, and a tempo that caused points off turnovers.
