Great game to take in in person....

Pirates could make some noise in the CUSA Tourney.

So could Marshall if their players and coach would stop bickering with each other.

ECU has to be considered the dark horse to win the tournament.

We could have been medium w/o injures but I think Dark is about right. The first round bye is key.

Southern Miss wins 70-62. Dwayne Davis has his second thirty point game of the week with 34 (had 35 @ Marshall on Tuesday).

**FINAL**
in Hattiesburg,
Southern Miss- 70 (23-8, 12-4)
UCF- 62 (20-10, 9-7)

*Southern Miss bounces back from their road loss to Marshall with a hard fought win over UCF. The Golden Eagles finish with the best record by winning percentage and most wins overall in conference play in their history. Not bad for a team that was picked to finish near the bottom of the league. USM also finishes the season with a 12-1 record at home. UCF's season comes to an end. Considering everything, a 20-11 record for the Knights is pretty solid.

**FINAL**
in Houston,
Rice- 71 (5-25, 1-15)
Tulsa- 77 (16-14, 8-8)

*Tulsa holds on to get the victory over Rice. With the win, TU secures the #5 seed and first round bye in next week's C-USA tournament. In his first season as head coach, Danny Manning did a fine job guiding this team beset with injuries to a winning record overall and non-losing mark in conference play. Rice's brutal regular season is finally over. They have now lost 10 straight.

USM finishes with it's best CUSA record ever, 12-4. Last years NCAA team was 11-5 in conference. Great coaching job by Coach Tyndall.

The Beard is playing like he wants some more games here at the end of his career.

ECU finished tied for 4th place in CUSA with UCF. Oddly enough all that stood between 3rd in CUSA for UTEP and ECU was that last second launch by the UTEP player in the game at ECU.

**FINAL**
in New Orleans,
Tulane- 94 (18-13, 6-10)
Houston- 96 (18-11, 7-9)

*Surging Houston gets the come from behind win over Tulane in this wild shootout. The Coogs have won three straight games. With the win, Houston now moves up to the #6 seed in the C-USA tournament. The fading Green Wave lose their fourth consecutive game. Tulane ends up with the #8 seed in the conference tournament. UAB will receive the #7 seed.

Here's hoping Southern Miss can come out of the Texas bracket to win the conference title! In a way, it is a relief not having to worry about the bubble. Instead of worrying about who all needs to win for us to have a chance, all we have to do now is "just win, baby".

I didn't even notice that. You have all four of them on your side of the bracket.

I agree about the bubble. It is do or die. They know what they have to do.

Not trying to stir the pot, but MEM has a much tougher path than us.

I always like the challenge of playing and beating the best, but if we are good enough to see the CCG, it won't hurt my feelings if MEM has to leave early.

MEM is in lock, stock, and two smoking barrels. I would love to see Tyndall get the op to shine with this team....Davis has just taken over now....I want that opportunity for him, the team, coach, and the school....USM needs this
