Big East presidents to have Conf Call Tuesday. The plan: Approve new ESPN contract and (finally) finalize Catholic 7 divorce.

Congrats to Big East and their lucarative FOX contract and Madison Square Garden Tournament! THis was absolutely the right move and, IMO, the Big East will receive publicity on a national level that it did not receive before with the expansion into the midwest. THis national interest will be further boosted as this Big East Conference will be viewed as a Catholic conference as never before, and will pull in that Catholic audience. There were reasons FOX pursued you guyz so diligently.

I agree. Congrats to the old/new/new/new Big East. I think that the Catholic schools made the right move and wish them well in the future.

At this point I'd be shocked if that happened.

Pete Thamel is and always has been a hack... (he got dumped by the NY Times for a reason)... his batting average is usually pretty bad, but even a broken clock is right two minutes a day - so we shall see!

It would make sense if they invited (and announced) Xavier and Butler next week, as well.

University/athletic officials from both schools will be in New York for the A10 tournament in Brooklyn.

100% wrong. He's been more accurate than anybody on conf realignment except maybe McMurphy.

I wish the Catholics well. It will be interesting to see how you do without UConn, Syracuse, Pitt, ND, etc.

I'll occasionally watch a C-7 game. I'm sure UConn will schedule some of you OOC in the future.
