So ultimately we're now terrorizing our own airline flights?

The terrorists really have won. 03-lol

The FAA has issued over 1,400 domestic drone licenses since 2007.

So how long before this actually happens? Especially when the sky is filled with these things for surveillance of the little people?

Clearly we should ban commercial aviation. Everybody to the train station!

I saw a story on this last night on ABC and they were saying it was a remote controlled drone like you can buy at a hobby store....? W. T. F.

This thing was flying at 1800 feet. Do they even make these things we can buy that have that kind of range? Not to mention, what's the point of some schmo doing this and could a civilian camera even see anything from that height?

To do what? As they become more commonplace and less expensive can news organizations obtain and fly drones over areas where breaking news is happening? Or celebrity weddings? Obama's golf outings? The Super Bowl? Will drones be allowed to do what peeping toms can't?

Largely issued to police organizations. So they can keep a drone aloft around the clock. Compared to the costs of a person in a helicopter it cost nothing. And current law allows the police in a helicopter to survey your property precisely because it is so manpower and cost intensive to do so that it is not long term practical. But if the po-po wants dirt on you it's cheap to keep a drone above your property 24/7. And unlike a helicopter, it is quiet enough you wouldn't know it was there unless you were able to look up at daytime and see it.

Of course you would. You're not geared for freedom, and damnit, you don't want anyone else to be either. Its idiots like you that allow authoritarian dictatorships to pop up all over the place.
