You're just going to lead this discussion back into the define "best," which will lead back to the "cherry picking" and if they are so good, why aren't they doing it for those most in need... We've been down that road on other threads.
It's not an argument that a "private" school can "win."
You chose to go to a school with "Saint" in the name and "Men for Others" as a mandate. You can see that might require a little higher expectation of accepting "loss?"
Though your not the one that posted it, can't you see that when someone posts "most likely a COMPLETELY different game," most see that as sour grapes? As saying, SJJ would have (not "might have") won? SJJ won against Rogers with a full compliment of players by only 7 on their home court. They got shellacked by 17 in a half on a neutral court. The injured player's average was only 5 points more than his replacement. His replacement did an admirable job. SJJ would unlikely have won that game with the missing player in full health. Our "best" Toledo team is still in play-offs.
I don't know your personal experience, but I have not personally seen any school in this city attacked for "arrogance" like I have SJJ. Not Notre Dame, not St. Ursula, Not Ottawa Hills. Maybe Bowsher, lol. Not even Maumee Country Day and if this was even REMOTELY about jealousy, then MVCD would be most susceptible to charges of arrogance. They aren't. SJJ is.
Take it for what it's worth. We did our best to let you know the perception held by a whole lot of this town. You're a great poster and a loyal UT fan as is MBG. I can see why you would take this discussion personal but it's really not about YOU or MBG or any one SJJ grad.
Peace and Go ROGERS!!!!
