Apparently the BE football schools are looking at the name America 12 and are registering domain names to that effect.

I don't know if there is going to be anything I will like, but I know I don't like that.

America 12 isn't bad. I liked the eastern 12, but this will work.

Stupid. Sounds too much like Conference USA and it is dumb to tie into a number. Moreover, we are no longer national in scope - all of our schools are in the eastern half of the US.

Because we have several schools no where near the Atlantic Coast...Plus for future reasons I do not think they want a regional type of name. No telling where we may need to expand in the future.

Eastern Athletic Conference / EAC. Hell, even "metro", as much as I hate it, is probably better than "America 12". Retarded....

You are right but when they established their conference names the regional part of the name was correct...Through expansion over the years they have gone outside of their original regional footprint. Makes no sense to me for us to come up with a new name that is regionally incorrect, that would just be silly....But hell, everyone is entitled to their own opinion...Just does not seem very logical to me for us to have eastern or Atlantic in our name when we are going to have several schools who are not eastern nor Atlantic states.

EAC is horrible. It doesn't flow nice. I like something short with a number. Eastern 12, Atlantic 12, and America 12.

The A-12 Conference. It's not horrible.

Not sure the Atlantic 10 would be real happy with us using A-12 but it will probably end up being what people will call us if we go with America 12 Conference.
