Bunch of seniors this year. We're going to have an incredibly young squad next year. Nervous about our guard play, but we're going to have some decent size in the post for the next few years.

Outstanding game! That was definitely a nail-biter. Kept going back and forth at the end. That assures us of a 4th seed in the conference tournament and 1st round bye. Could very likely see UCF again in the second round of the tournament.

RE: Women's Hoops Hosts UCF On Senior Night(TONIGHT)
I thought it was appropriate and ironic that on Senior Night, it was a Senior that rose to the occasion and saved the game for UAB, and that Senior is Amber Jones. I could see it on her face for much of the game that she was playing thru a great deal of pain in her ankle, but, she simply refused to let that keep her out of this game & being a huge factor in it, as was Karisma, she definitely played in dedication to the teammates she will not have beside her next year, she knocked down some very big shots in the 2nd half, & by the way, congratulations for reaching the 1,000 point mark in her career.

I watched the pregame ceremony, & I felt it that Amber was going to cry, and she did. Sure, all of our players have shown just how much they love being part of Blazer Athletics on and off the court, but Amber's love and passion for the game and the school she's represented for 4 years was as profound as any I've seen in recent memory from any UAB athlete. Several of them were literally playing thru some serious pain, especially Ashley (who didn't play in the 2nd half) Kelcie & Amber.

Whoever here described them as "the walking wounded" was as close to accurate as I dare convey. They're "living on Tulsa time" next week. I hope they have enough resolve left in them after this brutal season to at least get to the Conference Finals...I had a wonderful time at this game, but it was as intense and suspense-filled as any I've attended in 3 years. Had a great time "jawing" and teasing with the UCF men's basketball team, who placed themselves in the section just off to the side of the UCF bench, and they made their presence felt last night, I loved their support and sense of humor, especially Mr. Clanton (#33)...I for one, will miss them in our conference. I wish them well in their new conference.
