Some of the content is a bit misguided, but here's a decent preview for 2013 football. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...le-preview

Good read indeed. I agree with his overall sentiment...we will be an improved football team, but finding 6 wins (or even 5) on that schedule is tough to do. Our front seven is too inexperienced, and I worry about our o-line.

One thing to keep in mind is that the MAC is a fairly strong non-AQ conference and 8 games are against them.

There was the time when 1/2 the MAC was very beatable but that isn't true now.

RE: Decent read...
I didn't read the article word for word, or critical scholarship but I liked it. Lot to chew on and maybe, as I have been saying, 2012 was not meant to be the year... (they, like us, used a little 20-20 hindsight on Ball State and Kent).

And they caught some things that regulars here have missed:

Who?

Weignard is not on the roster nor is he listed in school. The article picked up that he is apparently gone.

I caught that a while ago but forgot to post it.

LB is thin, thin, thin...

Thin in experience. But I believe the young guys (Spearman, Matt, etc.) have a great chance at being better than the departed seniors...it's just a matter of how quickly they develop. Both guys got decent amounts of snaps last year. Valuable experience. Having a vet like Kurtz in the middle should help.

RE: Decent read...
since the regular season ended our roster has been "nibbled" with departures and all of them have hurt our depth. Hopefully English uses that last scholie to get another LB.
