I wonder if Santa is cool with me throwing up a billboard of an erect ***** on campus? I mean, it's just a *****. Surely that's ok too right?

If people want to look at vaginas it's not that hard for them to do that. Go to google and type it in. Believe it or not there are many people that don't want to see big signs of private parts while walking to class.

Is it ok for me to start showing my ***** to girls on UC's campus? What if I said I was protesting circumcision or something? Where do you draw the line?

Apparently csnbbs doesn't even allow the word "pe nis" to be typed into this forum, but it's cool for some wacko's to throw up billboard's on campus of actual pictures of vaginas. Totally makes sense.

I have 2 sons at UC; I asked if they had seen the marching vaginas yet... my oldest had not but the youngest said he'd seen one photo but he was pretty sure it was that sand monster from the Star Wars movie...

From the article in the paper, I get the sense that this is a response to another set of wackos parading around pictures of dead fetuses and trying to equate the Holocaust with abortion.
Don't why people are so upset with pics of vaginas. We all came through one at one time....

I think you are confusing issues here. Showing your actual wanger to women on campus is a bit different than showing a picture of one as a political statement. Context is important.

That you cannot use the word "*****" on here is something altogether different. That's just silly.

Also, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to call those pictures "billboards." More like poster boards.

I think there's a difference between a billboard and a college campus. You'd be hard pressed to find any billboard with a mutilated/aborted fetus or female genitalia.

Now that the size of the pictures has been posted on this board, it confirms my suspicions - these aren't anywhere close to billboard size. Don't get sucked up into the media frenzy...this is a big dose of nothing.

In fairness it's the movement organizers that call them billboard size.

Jackie, my understanding is the same as yours that this demonstration is a response to the abortion protestors and their photos... but their own statement in post #1 says; "The college's LGBTQ Alliance and UC Feminists say the 12 photos of vaginas are meant to cause discussion aimed at discrimination and exploitation of women's bodies". I find it humerous and non offensive and frankly think it gives a whole new meaning to Pres Ono's #hottestcollegeinamerica hashtag.

The idiocy of saying photos of vaginas on public display are making a statement against female exploitation is akin to holding an anti-gun rally by bringing firearms and shooting them off in the air... or maybe a protest against drunk-driving by holding a binge-drinking party.

The anti-abortion rally brought no media attention, I never knew it happened but the counter protest has actually given that cause more publicity than they had previously (none).

Thank you so much for granting me that. Yes the impact has been rather staggering. Frankly I am not sure what to do as my hands are trembling as I type.

I'd bet Anthony Weiner and Bret Favre are somehow behind this.

Though I find myself a bit uneasy about agreeing with Larry Flynt, I'm personally intrigued that our society gets so bent out of shape over the mere picture of a ***** or a ******, yet we don't blink an eye at the never ending parade of violence thrust at us.

I think it was the Texas Chainsaw Massacre commercial which shows a woman with her tied arms outstretched as a buzzing chainsaw closes in. I find this more bothersome and inappropriate than ****** pictures, yet this commercial was shown countless times (over Christmas even!) on tv.

I won't beat this dead horse anymore, but I just don't get why people get so nutty over pictures of body parts. We all have peenises and vaginas.

i could care less about abortion, as long as the responsible/guilty party is paying for their mistake

Maybe they could add pictures of the girls faces on separate bill boards. Then you could pony-up 5 bucks to play match the girl to her ******. Winner gets a box of morning after pills or pork rinds- your choice. All proceeds go to a great cause like Nippert stadium renovation or some such. I think it would be great fun for all.
