what is it with quote tags all of the sudden? if you mismatch one quote tag, every quoted post in that sub thread is hosed from that point on.

Where is Cinn going and if they do Cinn has to leave their part of $100 million on the table.......that is reason these monies will be given out over the history of espn tv contract. If you leave you will give up these monies. ECU folks who think they are in know are saying there will be around $3-4 million per season for each new conference member.....again, any Cusa members would leave for those numbers. Everything will come in an official announcement soon.

Also to this FUI fan who is posting.......remember you are in Cusa because UCF left........you are blessed FUI no longer has to play such teams as South Ala. who just started football not that long ago. Again, you are a guest to this site until July 1.....be thankful and respectful to present Cusa members who voted FUI into Cusa.

That would be great news. BTW, I've been to the outter banks and was surprised at how much ECU stuff was in the stores. If you go 50 miles from Memphis in any direction you will not see anything with Memphis on it.

Can you guys please file an injunction against our leage alleging that our name creates "brand confusion" or "entices children to commit murder" or whatever you've gotta do to stop this?

Please?

Again, Charlotte is in Cusa after being dismissed several years ago because of no football....still no football but now others are leaving 49ers are given a second chance. Be thankful for the new conference because if not Charlotte would be a Diviision II football startup. Until July 1 you are a visitor to this board so respect its present members who voted 49ers into Cusa.

Man, I feel for ya. To go from C-USA to America 12 has got to be tough.
Makes you wonder what in the heck goes through people's mind to come up with something like that. I hope they didn't pay a firm big bucks for that name an eight year old could coin.
Especially when you had the cool Metro name out there....

We improved our conference affiliation in the most agonizing, depressing way imaginable. It's kind of impressive.

Didn't Peggy Carter refer to Captain America's private part as America 12?

Sounds like C-USA lite. The C-7 attorneys really did a number on those doe-eyed newbs.

It had nothing to do with the C7...UConn, Cincy, and USF wanted a pay-day from selling the name...they got it.

c7 gave new conference $100 million so c7 could keep the name BE. For that kind of monies plus $130 million from ESPN contract with all monies to be divided up by 12 members over length of tv contract plus no membership fees.......All teams leaving will make 3x what they were making in Cusa so name is really not that important at present time.

My Dad knew Mr Cooper from when he worked for Merchants Truck lines in Memphis. It was a shock when he died of cancer.

He worked with a guy at Merchants that started a restaurant just south of Memphis. The place was so small they cooked steaks on grills out back. He had a great beer roll and marinade recipe and no menu, just t bones. Due to his success several friends, including Mr Cooper, opened restaurants in other cities. There was one in Jackson, MS and Pickwick, TN as well as a second restaurant in East Memphis. Mr Coopers was the only one that lasted. My parents knew him and his first wife Doris very well.
