I don't think so, but who is to say that he couldn't walk on the basketball team?

The scholarship would more than likely count against football & not basketball.

If I recall that correctly.

While a good player on the court, he may be a few inches shorter than the position he would play is used to.

Here is Sentell's comments:

Why he might not win: See the case for Coleman. Coleman will likely take some votes from Wilson. The 6-foot-6 Wilson can bring it up the floor, but he’s seen as more of a great athlete and a tireless competitor than a skilled basketball player. He’s not as flashy as Coleman or Langford.

He’s going to Mississippi State on a football scholarship but will play both SEC sports in college. He was good enough to draw scholarship offers from the Bulldogs and Tennessee in both sports, among others.
