Rod also missed some point blank shots as well as layups. It happens. Time to move on.

Rod is also a big reason this team isn't 10 games under .500 right now.

RE: Last Home Game - Sr Night in 35 minutes
Stop feeding the Gorilla, he loves the attention, he thrives on it. The shots Rod missed, he hits them more often then not.

Yes we had our chances, however, UCF shot the lights out. Coach Hasse game plan almost won the game for us, but there were match up problems all over the floor, the most glaring was with Sykes playing the 2/3 Position and Newell at the 1/2.

Besides Rob Williams guarding Sykes, we were not able to man up, and UCF shot it well, and even with Williams guarding Sykes, Sykes still had a very good game, but even with Sykes having a good game noone could have accounted for Newell getting 19 and I believe the guy, I forget his number, but he hits 3 after 3 and even had a 4 point play that hurt us badly. We did not account for those numbers, and remember UCF'S 3rd leading scorer, didn't play.

We lost by 4 points....okay I get it, but we could have won, and maybe should have, but that game was played Wednesday night, I hope our guys are over it, and I suggest Gorilla get over it also...

Now heres what makes me so hopeful for our future, we had a chance to win the game....
And I like most UAB FANS!!!! Believe we will win every game until we dont...

Go Blazers Beat Memphis.

While UCF was making a lot of threes, Swing was 0-6 from behind the arc.

A play here or there could have made a difference. It didn't happen.

Purifoy missed one free throw and is now 68-75, or 90.7%.

Robert Williams has the highest 3-point percentage at 37.5%. Swing, Purifoy, and QT are right behind Williams.

Kasey Wilson, for UCF, is hitting 51.3% of his threes. Surprisingly, he is only 62.3% from the free throw line.

Joe Jackson, Memphis, is 48.6% from downtown.

Purifoy missed that free throw on a technical. As many free throws as he has made this year, wasn't one of his other misses this year after a technical. Not complaining. Just interesting.

Konner Tucker, for UTEP, is 51-56 (91.1%) from the free throw line.

He is also 40.4% from three-point land.

Miguel Paul, from ECU, is 113-127 (89.0%) in free throws.

Ricky Tarrant, Tulane, is 156-195 for 80.0% from the foul line. He has made more free throws than anybody else in C-USA. He has also had more attempts than anybody else.

.....

Whoops! Ryan Manuel, SMU, is 157-193 (81.3%) from the foul line.

It's down to Tarrant and Manuel to see who makes the most free throws in the regular season in C-USA.

I often wonder if stepping up to that line by yourself throws a guy off because he is used to having players on either side during a game. It is interesting that with that few misses that two have came in a technical situation.

And I don't believe there was much discussion about it outside of an earlier post of yours MB, but Faz looks so much better than he did early in the season. He is aggressive. He is getting rebounds. He is passing out of double teams. He is finally scoring. He is without a doubt the most improved player from game 1, and he is going to be a big part of whatever happens with this team next year.

I hated that guy. He hit everything from behind the arc. Sometimes he would be closer to mid-court than the 3 pt line.

Was the guy's name Brendan Plavich?

QT has really improved this year, no doubt about it. However, he has only been to the free throw line 13 times this season.

Faz has improved greatly. He and Rucker should be much better next year. They will also likely be more efficient, with Washington and Mehinti able to spell them during games. Lack of depth was our greatest weakness this year.

Agreed! Faz and QT have both improved significantly this season.

How tall are Washington and Mehinti?
