Great pic. Ga State is located pretty close to there....I guess they chose quality over proximity. GATA Southern Pride!

Southern Pride needs Tom Melton in a bad way.

Heard this on the news last night....GaState does have us all beat in one category....they're the only school in GA to make the "least academic, least sexy" list, lol. 03-lmfao

It's ok. We all know how you really feel. The game won't be a big deal until you actually beat us. Then it will mean EVERYTHING.

I feel bad for the Georgia Southern fans. A loss to State will happen much sooner than any of you realize and there will be Southern fans immediately calling for the coach to be fired.

Run baby run! You've ran since you moved 1A, now there is no where to run.

There is nothing sexy about GA State. I have a degree from boths schools,(Ga So/92 and Ga St./94). Ga. St. is mostly a Evening Grad school Mill. Nothing More.

It just is that way. I don't see that changing. If it does I will gladly be the first to say how happy I am to have Ga St in the SBC, but until then, you get no repect. 04-chairshot

You also need to understand, Ga Southern is you best chance at a good instate rival and a very nice attendance game. Embrace them, don't hate them. You can hate us, after all, we hate you. 04-cheers

What is the highest attended USA football game? The 2nd?

As for GS and high attendance...LOL

Our best chance at high attendance is a2 for1 with Georgia Tech.Anyone who lives in Atlanta and knows history will agree. A game with GS will not break 26k.

It will if its played at Georgia Southern. GS already average over 21,000 plus at the big games and all the fans are waiting on is better competition to come to statesboro and with the new additions to the stadium I would bet they start having over 30,000. If GS had enough seats right now and brought GT to town they would have 40,000 easy. My man your hatred towards GS blocks reality. How many GaSt fans do you actually know and actually talk to? To say GaSt fans dont want this matchup is just not reality. How many have you honestly talked to.......50 maybe? I would bet my house that the majority of State fans want to play GS. My father thought it would be a good rivalry when you guys announced having a football program and he graduated from GaSt. Deep down state fans are dying to see how GaSt will match up against GS, and GS wants the same although I think most GS fans want to play just to show State that they arent what they think they are YET. Who knows what will happen by the time they meet. I think the anamosity comes from both schools but from the start of your program I read what you and others were saying on the message boards and it was all negative towards GS. I could care less whos school is better, this is about football, and you and others from the beginning have trashed GS program comparing it to yours. Right now there really is no comparison. I know GS fans have trashed you guys as well but lets at least be honest. Gs has a proven winning football program that is still growing and still young in terms of football programs go. This could turn out to be a huge rival game between the two schools and the players of both teams would probably enjoy the rivalry.

Good Luck with the Ga.Tech 2 for 1 matchup in about 12 years. Your about right with the GaSo vs GaSt attendance- 20,000 GaSo fans & 6,000 GaSt fans in the Dome. Your other Eastern Division matchups will be a lot less in Atlanta.

It may "count" as a home game, but if it is at the dome, it is essentially Tech's home game. The crowd would certainly reflect as much. 50K techies and 10-20K statists. It would be a well attended game, possibly a sell-out, but you couldn't count it as a state home game with a straight face.

That's because beating a quality team means meh to a fanbase willing to accept less than mediocre performances from their football program..."meh, who cares if we beat Georgia Southern? It wouldn't have mattered to me if we lost either because mehhhhhhh...mehhhhhh"
