Can you believe that Bracketology is still forecasting Memphis as a 1 seed?
For the record, I think it's still possbile if we win out. I think Ohio State is our stiffest competition.
I doubt that it happens. I have heard the talking heads speaking of memphis as a #2 seed, which is very possible in my opinion. OSU is going to get the other #1, I think, but as I have seen so far this season, anything can happen, but i dont think memphis will be a #1. only 5 more days.
In an ironic way the UAB loss almost helps us. They were a sub 50 RPI team before they beat us and the win over us catapulted them to 44 in the RPI. I would have rather won the game, but the loss to them wasn't terrible. If we end up beating them in the C-USA finals it will just about negate the loss altogether in that it will give us yet another win over a top 50 RPI team.
We'll see. I think we have a pretty good shot if we win the C-USA tourney and Ohio State doesn't win the Big 10 tourney. If Ohio State wins the Big 10 tourney then I think they'll probably get a 1 seed.

Thats pretty much what i said would happen, the day after the loss to UAB. I figured that in the long run, it would help cusa and Memphis. Now if memphis ends up having to play and beat UAB in the Cusa Championship, it will be huge for Memphis.

That was only if we beat UAB and won out. In cuseroc's defense he has already crawfished from that statement.

You could still end up a 3 seed. Smart guy. I am too busy watching the best conference bb tourney in the land to deal with mid major fans like yourself. Have fun in the cusa tourney.

Yep. It looks like I was completely wrong about memphis. Congratulations Memphis fans. Can they live up to it? maybe. I still dont think they get past the sweet 16. I could be wrong again, but i dont think memphis is really that good to get past the sweet 16. I still stand by that prediction.

Frankly, as a Memphis fan, I will be happy just to make the Sweet 16. We havn't been there since 1995. Anything past the Sweet 16 for this program is gravy.
