I think they should stay and rebuild C-USA. I don't see the benefits in partial oBE.

1) ECU won't be a partial member.
2) Our natural in-state rivals are NC State and UNC. Since we aren't in a conference with them it doesn't matter.

Charlotte would have been ok if we were stuck in C-USA but really doesn't matter at all if we have the chance to leave for greener (even if only a shade greener) pastures.

Oh, I got you! thought it was a partial deal! that makes sense. Maybe they will schedule a few home and home series with Charlotte. I know it should be more exposure for the Pirates. Should be more money too right?

Yeah, Charlotte is really small right now! Thought they would have seen that when they started building it. Bet they will expand in 5 years.
But Not sure about Heels? You guys hold 50,000 plus and it would put that game at another level. I must admit that Purple Haze is Fire! Y'all get rabbit crazy! I think we should go to Greenville and play! If it was up to me we would be there for sure.

Some from NIU would say thanks for taking him!

Apparantly he was cold to the long term donors, only warmed up to the real big $$$$$ donors.

Most of those on the NIU/NCAAbbs board seem to think that he's a good hire for us. I hope that they're right. From what I've read, I think that he will be a good AD.

03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao, This was great.
I agree. That was a great episode...

Excellent references ...

WKRP is one of the Top 5 Sitcoms of all time --

Besides this episode ("as God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly") other great episodes .... in no particular order ...

... the drunk test that Johnny and Venus took on air, where Johnny's reflexes got better the more he drank.
... Herb on "Real Families".
... Johnny running from the phone police for smashing a phone, that ultimately saved his and Venus' lives, when the transformer was blown up by terrorists.
... Venus teaching the atom to the son of a friend, who is in a gang in order to keep him in school.

And the intro song to the show is sooooo late 70's/early 80's cheesy that it's almost good.

O get over yourself, NIU is the first MAC team to play in a BCS Bowl, NIU has played in 3 straight conference title games and Men's Soccer Titles in 06 & 11 when Akron was the defending national champion in 11 is an accomplishment that few AD"s have achieved much less a non AQ team.

What are you talking about? We play a home and home with UNC. Y'all play in Greenville next year ('14). As for Charlotte, I was talking about why doesn't UNC schedule a home and home with them. If you're gonna suggest we do it, you might as well do it too.

Charlotte's football stadium is built to be able to expand to 40,000 easily. So, yeah, we knew that when we started building it.

maybe UNC doesn't want to play UNCC-they have enough difficult teams on their schedule already

I pray for that, he has done many things that I don't agree with but in the end he was right on most. The ones he wasn't right about he still took the ball and made the most out of it. He is one of the most innovative persons I have ever been honored to know. He would make this Conference $$ & earn us respect ( messageboards don't count). He wants to stay in athletics.

I betcha IN 10 yrs ECU/UNCC Panther's stadium would be a sellout, something ECU vs unc/ncst couldn't do.
