Question. Has Terry Holland lost his mind? I've always kind of liked the honest straight shooter approach of his, but he says the conference formerly known as the Big East TV deal will allow them to court BYU.

Really? The same BYU that's going to get about $1 million per home game is going to go to play all of its games Texas and eastward for a little better than a million per year?? Is he looking at the same numbers the rest of us are? Honestly, I don't get why he would even make that claim.

Question, can you read? The story is a week old, but the E-mail is from DECEMBER.....

BEFORE BOISE, SDSU, THE C-7 LEFT, AND WHEN WE COULD HAVE SAVED SOME VALUE.

Guess you missed the part the Dec. 28, 2012.............03-banghead

Well, obviously I didn't you *******. If it's just now being reported how would I have read about it 3 months ago.

Man, you all are about as smart as they are over in Memphis.

No, if you would have used some decent reading comprehension skills you would have understood that the email in question was written months ago. It was obtained by the press using the freedom of information act. Also TH was just throwing out ideas of how the league could maybe lure BYU and hold on to Boise St....Basically a brainstorming session.

Didn't see an email. Read a story that didn't say anything about the timing. Insinuated it was recent. Misunderstanding. Bad reporting whatever you want to call it.

Damn, you ECU folk are as sensitive as the Sun Belters. I even said I like the guy and the way he approaches things only to be called names like fourth graders. Grow up.

"East Carolina athletic director Terry Holland emailed a television revenue plan to Big East membership in late December that he said could help the league “court” BYU and possibly other members, according to an email obtained by CBSSports.com through a public records request.

On Dec. 28, a few days before Boise State.........."

Damn he's good. I mean if he was using the two week old television contract as an enticement for byu "3 months ago +" then no way in hell should he be an A.D. Nope, that kind of foresight belongs on Wall Street predicting the stock market.

Numb nuts, yes; but just who is the "numb nuts" may be a different story than the one you told.

First of all. I haven't been on CBS website today, so once again perhaps you need to go back and read. I didn't see this story. I saw it somewhere else AND LET ME REPEAT it didn't have the December detail in it (I guess some lazy reporter picked it up and misrepresented it). I can't remember what outlet it was from that I saw it while at work today. Second, I didn't realize ECU had the WKU d-bag disease. Third, let me repeat a Terry Holland fan here, but I guess you're too busy feeling emasculated (for some ungodly reason) to allow that to sink in. Damn. You guys act like I killed your puppy.

So again, you make a thread about if "Terry Holland lost his mind", after reading it somewhere? And then you try to say we are the "d-bag" and "emasculated"?

Well maybe you should take a little time to research a subject before running to a message board and making a post like this one. There is really no excuse for being this uninformed., hell this subject had already been discussed in great detail on this board about a week ago...A simple 5 minute Google search would have answered your question and saved you a lot of hassle. Honestly, you should have known something was terribly wrong with the article that you read and just researched it a little further. No worries but you should not be surprised at the reaction to this post, admit you screwed up and move on...No point in trying to save face now.

This is now the largest over reaction to such a minor issue that I have ever seen on a message board.

This is - officially - the largest over reaction I have ever seen on a message board.

Now that is a pretty strong statement.

Apparently, I'm supposed to conduct thesis style research before being allowed to ask a question about something that was bizarre. And here I thought this was one of the purposes of a board like this was for the strength of the members to help clarify strange and/or correct information.

The irony Andre is I was speaking in jest about Holland. That's what I get for trying to be a funny guy. Didn't realize ECU fans were set off so easily. Duly noted.

I'm not sure what the deal is with ECU fans. We used to be pretty friendly with them. Now... this.

A turning point for me happened a few weeks ago. There was a thread titled something like "new CUSA members, talk about your school." Somebody from UNT posted an alumni list... it was heavy with CEOs and CFOs at boring transportation and retail companies, and some ECU fan just tore the UNT poster a new ******* over it. That was the first time I remember thinking, "I'm not gonna miss ECU all that much" (and "I think I'm OK being in a conference with UNT.")

UNT, MTSU, etc. are good institutions that lift people out of poverty. I used to think that way about ECU. Right now, I wonder.

ECU and USM have a long history together way before there was a Cusa. My hope is we will continue to play each either regardless if we are in the same conference or not. I am hoping USM will be 12 school picked because I truly believe USM will be the dark horse to win football title next season. Nothing but love and respect for USM.
