My buddy Nabal posted this on facebook today with a nice message saying he's only seen Perez drop 2 passes in their 4 years at NIU and they were both PIs. I really hope Perez gets picked up. This video reminded me of a lot of great plays I forget he made. Man he was a talented player. I think he could be a valuable asset to some teams, I think he would really fit in out at New England.

He always impressed me with how good his hands were. Will never forget that one along the sideline late in the 2011 MACC. I really hope he gets a chance on an NFL team somewhere.

He made some incredible plays at NIU. Great player who always seemed to be somewhat overshadowed by other WRs.

Part of that was injury, part of that was Martel and Jordan's cohesiveness, and part was just the type of player he was and the role he fit in. I have zero doubt in saying if we played a system like the Patriots I think Perez's numbers would've been through the roof. He's very reliable and is a great slot receiver. NaPalm just happened to be a great athlete and Martel is one of the purest wideouts we ever had at NIU. We've been blessed out there recently.

Great highlights from a great player. And it sure is nice to watch #12 throw it again too.

I have had all I can take of this talk about him playing for the Patriots. I do not want to cheer against him. It was tough enough when the Jets had Justin McCareins.
