Don't forget that the murder capitol of the world, Juarez, Mexico is just right down the road...literally, but I guess the campus is nice enough and the facilities there are also nice enough to get these recruits.

I spent 4 days there a couple years back for the conference tournament. I can't see a kid out of high school being real excited to spend up to 4 years there. The Juarez thing is blown out of proportion. Folks in El Paso just don't go over there. The border is so guarded that it really doesn't seem to effect the locals. The people are extremely nice there but overall El Paso is pretty boring.
