Is this possibly the dumbest SBN article of all-time?
http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...iclebottom

I never go to to this site but had to review it based on another site I visit.

So, almost all are slower....mmmm, okay...then they are mostly all slower. Wow, high school times are distorted (which he amazingly denies in the end) And, it's not like distorted height, weight, strength, speed, etc....is something new, right? Maybe someone can tell me what I am missing to the point of all this? His closing paragraph made me suck the vomit back down.

I can deal with the combine/slant/perspective being worthless, but I missed that if it was there.

I really hate the media.

I think TOGC wrote this article.

Right, it's not because they bulked up while in college, or anything. College football players are just a bunch'a fatties.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out what conspiracy they were alluding to throughout the article. When I read it I was astounded. How can their in depth super Hardy Boys investigation be so damn stupid? This thread provided two excellent possibilities in the first two replies.

I was thinking Nancy Drew, but great ref....lmfao....the Hindenburg was awesome! Sometimes my brain gets in the way, but I read it three times and couldn't figure it out.

I have read the SBnation a couple of time and found them so poor every time I see them on a google news I just pass over it. That is a totally bad site for gaining knowledge.

I try to avoid generalizations since they prove to be often flawed. In fair disclosure I will say I have worked in media, wrote for a newspaper, and did radio reporting as well as a radio show, and in defense of a few real journalist, there are those who can give you knowledge and shouldn't be dismissed because of the corporate media that tends to control the news. It is sad that our media is ranked way down the list of nations that have free media while last time I checked Finland had the most free media and the most accurate news. I can say I know a few in our media that are solid journalist, but sadly not too many.

It is sad....even sadder that most people quote and believe the crap that is being shoved down their throats.

Tim Dougherty (sports writer for HBG American) is a personal friend of mine. His ethics are what most should aspire to achieve. Unfortunately, the news that sells died eons ago.

It is sad.

I think TOGC wrote this article.

It demonstrates just what most of us have thought for years....HS 40 times and other measurables are exaggerated for the most part and particularly more so by the power conference teams, to make their recruiting classes look better than they are and meet the hype. In the NFL they are playing for real so they are more accurate.
