The only drawback I see is that they compete in some sports that CUSA does not - according to their athletics page, they only compete in football, rowing, swimming, lacrosse, ping pong and cheer.

Plus they've been a member of the MAC (Monsters Athletics Conference) since 1486 so they might feel obligated to not part ways after 527 years.

Why not just invite Devry & University of Pheonix?

The Disney/Pixar money machine can instantly fill stadiums with CGI characters for tv games. The tv/movie money distribution would probably net you a better tv deal than the BE.

With FOX being one of CUSA's tv partners you can get Simpsons, Family Guy and, Cleveland show fill ins

Yeah GCU is a member of the WAC and is a for profit LDS (Latter Day Saints) school. It is rumored it is going to start football in the near future, but I don't know if that is just a rumor or fact. It was bought by the LDS Church when it was a community college and turned into a university with profit being the big thing. I think most here really don't think that much of it, but then I live a full hour or more from it so it is a long drive from Mesa.

Saw it today during the Walking Dead. The WAC has became a HAM.

My only problem with that is under Marty Daniels, BMS is unstoppable and with Alex Moran at the helm, that offense is pretty potent. With Thad Castle graduating, there could be serious holes in the defense.
