First Impressions Of Football Schedules
It's always interesting to see how MAC teams schedule. I think that Ohio did a great job, adding one tough game (Louisville) with several winnable home NC games. MAC play shouldn't start too tough either.
On the other hand, what was CMU doing? I'm all for playing a tough schedule, but Dan Enos is probably looking at some ugly losses before MAC play starts. I'm still not sold on his job safety, so IMHO, he's being incredibly gutsy.

Ohio is a lock for its 5th straight bowl game with that schedule, IMO.

Miami has some winnable games at Illinois, Marshall, and Kentucky, though we'll see if we progress at all after two straight 4-8 seasons. Not having to play NIU or Toledo again is just begging for us to win, and there's no excuses if we don't.

Bobcats if they can be more healthy this year should have a big year.

RE: First Impressions Of Football Schedules
i certainly hope we don't have anywhere near the amount or the level of injuries we had in 2012, but who knows what will happen. if that holds for us, we could be in good shape as the pressure will be on Kent State to repeat. we could be viewed as an "also ran," and slide in if KSU and/or BG falter.

Eastern Michigan has winnable games against ... uh, they should be competitive against ... EMU has a shot at ... oh, forget it.

Ohio has 7 home games, plays CMU and EMU from the West, and after playing @L'ville in week 1 doesn't play another road game until week 6 @Akron. If Ohio can find a way to get out of L'ville with a win they could be looking at another strong start.

Please do NIU fans a favor and crush Illinois, those wimps avoid (playing) us like the plague.

Their WMU loss at Ford Field a while back probably made them wary of scheduling the better MAC teams. We'll do our best, and I hope we win too - my dad, uncle, and sister are all Illini grads, and I grew up a fan of them.

According to the article Akron has "a potentially winnable road game at Central Florida."
No.

Well they really suck at avoiding the plague considering we played 3 years ago.

Well Toledo plays 4 of the first 5 on the road. Plays 8 bowl teams. Gets 3 home games in November, when it's chilly in Northern Ohio. Plays rivarly game on the road... Toledo tough.

We're coming off a BCS bowl and we have the worst home schedule I've ever seen.

Yeah right. Playing the only other FBS state school 3 times in 50 years makes them just such great guys. While they schedule home and home series with WMU?

RE: First Impressions Of Football Schedules
I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but if Kent makes it to the MACC again, they'll have an advantage because they end their regular season on Tuesday 11/19, 10 days before 10 of the 12 other teams. Everyone else ends on Friday 11/29 (except NIU & WMU, who play on Tuesday 11/26).
The MACC is Friday 12/6.

7 and Eastern Washington was an FCS Final 4 team. Honestly they are as good as a middle MAC team. They have many good wins over the past few seasons. Not an easy game for any D1 non AQ.
