My teenage son is a huge DJ fan and absolutely can't wait.. The Byrd's probably just earned his business for life with that gesture!

RE: Article on D.J. and NBA
Assuming what Coach Stoudamire said comes true, DJ could very well be the next NBA marketing superstar. I'm not saying he will be as big as "Air Jordan" or "Bo Knows" as far as ad campaigns, but he could be just a step below if indeed he becomes a starter or star 6th man like James Harden was. His leaping ability is that "Wow" factor that will catch people's attention.

DJ Stephens to me is the discussion-ended when someone says Pastner's "player development" is lacking.

RE: Article on D.J. and NBA
That was a 'made my day' article! Thank you so much for the great find. One of the favorite quotes:
"VCU assistant coach Will Wade hasn't forgotten about Stephens.
'I've kind of kept up with Memphis since we played them," Wade said. "Stephens is amazing. He's a quick jumper, which is a unique ability. He can get off his feet really, really quickly, and he can double jump very, very quickly. And he's good at doing that in tight spaces. You can't teach it. You either have it or you don't, and very few people have it. He seems to have two or three 'wow' plays every game.'"

I don't see how his body makes it in the NBA, but if some team's strength and conditioning coach thinks he can work with it, than someone will take a flyer on him with either a late 2nd round pick or training camp invite.

I don't think he'll get drafted. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in someones camp.
