I was just wondering what the dawg fans are saying about Croom since the Tulane game. I know all were high on Sly coming into the season, and I was just wondering what the word is now?

I think the overwhelming majority of fans are. They are some who would gripe if Spurrier was our coach and didn't win a National Championship with this group. Sure, the loss to Maine was disappointing and so was the way we played against Vandy. But, I still contend that Coach Croom's biggest problem may not be on the field and a lack of talent. I think he is having to clean up a really big mess off the field as well. He is doing the right thing, in my opinion, in getting the foundation laid properly. Give him 3-4 years and see where we are then.

very good question RBF and I think tubadog answered it quite well. I am still quite happy with the hire. I mean it was not like Croom came into a situation where we were winning in the first place so I did not expect for that to turnaround overnight. I did expect to beat Maine and even Vandy and if you look down the stat sheets, other than the score, we did beat them but also we beat ourselves, something we have gotten comfortable with doing for the past few years. Croom has my full support though, it will take time to get this program completely turned around but one thing I have noticed about Coach Croom is that he does not sugarcoat it, I have read and listened to his postgame interviews and he does see improvement each week and that is all we can ask for. Of course he also let's us know the areas of concern to him and the staff and things that need to be worked on, sounds like a lot of problems on the field right now are execution, I don't think the losses are from a lack of hustle and trying but rather poor execution in most cases.

While Croom was not my first choice i'll continue to support him like i have from the day he was hired. That does not mean i will not question him from time to time.

My first two choices was Jimbo Fisher (LSU) and Randy Shannon (Miami).
