I agree. Im actually in Charlotte this weekend for the star-studded CIAA Tournament and the city has done a great job rolling out the red carpet for this event. My onky gripe is the price gouging at the hotels other than its been all good.

They do the same for the Wells Fargo Championship and other multi-hotel events. Its pretty much industry standard to raise hotel prices during major events.

Unfortunately, it's just supply and demand. I'm currently working at a hotel in Concord by the speedway. The prices rise during special events such as the CIAA or races because there aren't enough rooms for everyone who wants to stay and people are willing to pay the rates.

San Antonio would be great but does UTSA have the basketbal fan support to sell a decent amount of tickets? Also, I would much rather it would be in the AT&T Center that way it would have somewhat of an intimate feel.

I think that a joint hosting by mtsu and wku (provided we eventually get an invite) in Nashville would be cool. Early rounds COULD be held in Diddle, Murph, and Bridgestone. Consolidate womens tourney to the Murph and men's to Bridgestone...

Have it in Biloxi. Casinos could easily handle all of the teams and the Coliseum recently finished the new and larger convention center to have a Conference Tourneyville similar to what New Orleans did for the final four and the Super Bowl. Conference tourney time is the slow time of the year for the Casinos. Right now all of them are giving away free Buffets to get people in them.
