Deadbeat dems won't payoff debt
Deadbeat dems refuse to pay off line of credit

I'm seeing a pattern here with dems and other people's money.

If I were cynical, I'd say that Rogers just procured some political favors.

So you fully support your party defaulting on a line of credit that as a shareholder cost you money?

When I twist someones comment it is ok. When someone twist my comment for some reason I feel differently:)

From what I have understood form reading the post on here, is that you are the expert on NPL, my expertise is more from performing loans and securitization.

The default may be on contract issues. The devil is in the details.

To answer you r question, I pay my bills, and expect those who can pay theirs. I have not received an email from Duke power regarding their dividend. Although UVA dominated DUKE a couple of days ago.

No, the default is they aren't going to pay it. The article says it's because they didn't raise as much money as they thought they would. So they're just not going to pay it.

As a shareholder myself I find it far more disturbing that they are just letting them default and not taking them to court over it. Compounding the poor judgement of giving them the money in the first place is not making an effort to get it back. In terms of direct cost it's negligible.

It should be illegal for a stock owned company to be allowed to guarantee something like that to any political party. That is not what they are in business for.
“If it was something he wanted Duke Energy to do,” she said then, “it should have been his $10 million and not the shareholders’.”
