RE: OT: Yippee-ki-yay, UAB!!
Not trying to pour salt into a wound, but I'm trying to figure out why anybody was in the back of a U-Haul truck on the interstate for starters. That seems inherently dangerous to me.

On a side note: When I was a frat pledge back in the day at another college, I and my pledge brothers went to a gathering (party) at an apartment complex clubhouse. After the event, one of my fellow pledges and I were to ride home together, but his big brother bumped me to another vehicle. On the home, they were involved in a serious MVC and my friend was killed at the scene. We knew each other from before going away to school when we met at a pre-college social sponsored by the college in Huntsville (he was from Huntsville and I was from Hartselle). That was a tragedy that really shook us all to the core. I think it positively shaped our fraternity and the collective bond of brotherhood as well.

I'm just saying, having people recognize that dragon head as being "taken" from UAB is a start to being recognized at all.

I'm sorry, but that's not an excuse.

No, its not an excuse. OTOH, I did any number of things when I was 18-20 that were at best examples of poor judgement, and at worst idiotic, or perhaps more accurately drunk and stupid.

Things happen, and when looked at in retrospect, clear eyed and as a sober adult, they can be inexplicable. Kids have, and will, continue to do dumb things. They don't always think things through.

And I was a GDI, no frat allegiances involved in the comment.

Most of the stupid often horrible things I did while a member of ATO had no connection or involvement to that organization
