My guess is because we were trying to put it up on Huskie All Access thru IMG but ESPN then claimed the rights to it.

I wish the MAC had the balls to tell ESPN to stick their contract up their fat arses. But, it won't happen, as ESPN eats more and more of the MAC.

I think the problem is that the MAC left the contract open (no MAX # of games for ESPN) with hopes of more coverage. Keep in mind this was signed before ESPN3.com existed as it does now...so we were hoping for more TV coverage not streaming coverage.

When does the contract expire with ESPN?

The contract runs through the 2016-17 season. It was an 8 year contract signed in January 2009.

I'll bet the MAC renews it when it expires.

I started this thread to engender some excitement about spring football being just around the corner. It took exactly one post to turn it into yet another ESPN and scheduling ***** session. Impressive even for this group.

If ESPN really wants to put our Spring Game on TV, that's awesome. How could anyone complain about that?

If ESPN really wants to put our Spring Game on TV, that's awesome. How could anyone complain about that?

Spring game on ESPN3.com would be great...but if the only reason they are going it is because we were having IMG put it on Huskie All Access then it sort of stinks.

Much more of a positive than a negative totally agree.
