+1. Just dreaming, but it would be nice if they added corner seats the come up flush to the Yordon. Would make it almost like a U-shaped stadium.
Just make the South side a berm. With that and the new scoreboard, ribbon boards, sound system, Yordon, and Chessick Centers NIU would have really gone a long way in upgrading Huskie Stadium.

Will the CPC change the wind pattern in BF@HS?

Me and a buddy were talking about that the other day and wondering the same thing.

It seemed like most of the time the wind blew in from the Northeast between the Yordon and west stands. Looks like there's still room for that. I suppose it might change a little.

You would think it changes it at least somewhat. Not sure how though. Could make it even worse if it hits the building and bounces through the stadium.

I was thinking the same thing - blowing down from the roof of the CPC.

RE: IPF
I remember well a game from 2011 when the wind was coming in directly from the West. Looking at the goal post flags it shows that the wind is blowing from the endzone towards the 50...ON BOTH SIDES! The wind was strong from the endzone until about the 20-25 yard line on both side then all of the sudden it was be much calmer between the 30s.

I'm wondering at this point if they are thinking about putting a second level as part of the Yordon Center above the Locker Room and Weight Training area. Looks like they have the ability to do that if they wish to expand.

The two spaces we need are a practice room for the wrestlers and gymnastics teams. That way Huskie Stadium can get gutted and be given an open concept like the 1993 flyer shows. If this does not happen the main 2 entrances within Huskie Stadium will always feel like you are in the basement just outside of a high school gym.

I wonder if adding on a gym attached to the Convo...maybe directly North of VE Court would be less expensive than adding a second level on to the Yordon.

Don't want to speak too soon but I am pleased with the transition from red to white with the row of windows at the top. Overall, it looks better than I originally thought. I am happy with the look

Keep in mind that view is from above the scoreboard. It will look different from a lower angle or wherever your seats are located.

I wonder how the white will reflect the light for the players and fans in the stands. That South Western sun light will be bouncing back off of that white siding.

is anyone wondering if the low-lying ribbon boards will mess with player sight lines? I'm assuming there angled up towards the stands a few degrees?

No.

Not even the visiting players?

On non-football hours, of which there will be many, the Chessick can be used for a ton of intramural sports (indoor soccer, indoor lacrosse, pretty much indoor anything). That being the case, despite fond memories, it would be nice to tear down Chick Evans. The Chick sits on one of the most visible pieces of land on campus (and its heinous). That land should house a classic, flagship-type class building and lawns ideally. We are supposed to get $ from Illinois like 5 years ago for a computer science buildlng, maybe there?

During the school year it will be used 60-80hr a week by all of the athletic teams. I doubt any non Varsity teams will have access to it.

Starting this fall intramural will get to play on the new multi million dollar complex to the North of the Convo.
