Providers have changed now 2 years in a row, and both times the rate increased. I expect it will continue to happen. They said once 2014 hits things may change in a very bad way.
Yes, 2014 will be a watershed year for this travesty from a cost increase perspective. My primary care physician has been telling me the impact on HIS practice and how expensive things will get.
Costs are going up for less care but literally endless forms to complete by the patient and the health care providers. That is the bottom line.
The red state article is correct, though the libs will do their usual diverting act by bashing the source.
Quote:I work for a very large and successful corporation that has considerable leverage when purchasing health care plans.
My 2013 health care plan is basically a catastrophic coverage policy with very high deductibles (not an HSA plan), compared to previous plans that allowed us to spread out our health care payments evenly through the year and which met routine services, as well.
My premiums for the "new" plan and previous plans are almost identical, yet I pay more out of pocket now until my family's 4-digit deductible is reached.
Welcome to Donna's world and my world, ODUSmitty.
This is absolutely a direct result of having to insure all of the people who have extremely poor health due to:
1) tough luck in their gene pool
2) a horrible accident
3) a series of poor lifestyle choices
We cover ALL of that now. America voted to re-elect Obama and we deserve these increased costs. Elections have consequences, wouldn't you concur?
Again, wait'll next year when costs really escalate.
