RE: An Excellent Night of Basketball
It was not Coles fault that the athletic department shifted its focus over the last decade+ and made basketball less of a priority while it moved resources to hockey and football. Basketball had to play multiple money games and got none of the benefit. The basketball budget at Miami has been a joke and a bit of a disgrace for a once proud program. Brad Bates oversaw this decline and took the first train out to BC. Now you have a decade of students/alums for whom basketball is an afterthought and for whom Miami will be a hockey-first school. And that's fine for them, a lot of people love hockey. But the basketball program needed much more than a coaching change, and it's going to take a bit of a paradigm shift at Miami to bring basketball back to its former level. The new coach has more issues than the lack of talent they currently have.

Seems to me the obvious answer is to focus on building a wrestling program.

Don't forget the basketball team had to fly across the country to play Colorado for no money because of football scheduling. That's outrageous.

Nice to see Evans take it strong to the hoop. I think Kent beats Ohio at Kent if Evans had brought the ball up instead of Holt. Evans is so athletic he makes things happen.

Man, The Convo sounded loud. Wish I could've been there.

Great sound in the Convo! OZone and the rest of the crowd were into it!
