Year Thusfar

I haven't posted since Steve started this site on AOL too many years ago, but I read it daily. (BTW, how is Steve?)

Yes we lost our 4th game and beat ourselves. Yes I hate the loss, as well as many "big game" losses we've had throughout
the years.

At the beginning of the year, we had a fair schedule; couldn't know how our scheduled teams would fair; had no control of the conference we're in.

Pastner seems as good a man and young coach for the Tigers as I can remember. 24-4 is a pretty good record for any team anywhere.

The coach, the team, the city deserve better "press" and more support, and less negativism.

We've done worse in the past, and we've done better....so what?

I for one am content we have done as well as we have, because things could be (and have been) lots worse.

We are going in a right direction.

Yeah, I think people are freaking out too much about a 2 point road loss to a slightly above average team. It happens. If there is any silver lining, I think the loss will relieve a lot of pressure created by the winning streaks. Our guys know what it feels like to lose again, and they will be fired up to win their last 3 games, then proceed to take the CUSA tourney.

This is the main thing I hope the team takes away from it.

Yes, they are not invincible. They have to bring it for every night game and afternoon game.

Also I'm sure they will play looser with not having to deal with/knowing/getting asked about/playing to keep a long win streak going.
