Press for 40 mins and we win.

Missed free throws and dunks did not help.

we lost buy 2 and shot 33% from the free throw line. free throws and made dunks would have been enough to win. pressing wasnt the issue.

When everyone plays well we are a top 15 team; when nobody plays well, we suck, and when half the guys play well we are a borderline top 25-30 team. If we put it all together we can be a Sweet 16 team, and if we don't we will flame out in the first round. Might as well enjoy it the best we can and hope for the best.

Not mad, just sad and upset. When are we ever going to break thru in a big game??

and this really wasn't a big game. Xavier isn't a tournament team and besides, they were missing their starting PG. Disappointing. Did X have a single player who'd crack our starting 5.

Do their bigs actually rebound better than a school girl? Does their big practice a jump shot? Can he make a free throw or layup when someone is close? Then they probably would get playing time,

Xavier had good players and nothing to lose, pride to gain.

That makes for a dangerous team.

They had their best case scenario and we missed some opportunities

For once we agree. It really only became a big game by us losing. Xavier is a mediocre team that was without its starting point guard. They aren't good at all.

That doesn't say much for us.

It didn't tonight. I made a post on the other board about the Kansas - Iowa State game. The only time I've seen our team match that intensity has been...

2013 Loserville
2011 Arizona
2011 UTEP (last 6 minutes)
2012 Xavier (last 6 minutes)
2011 @ Gonzaga

If you watched that game on Monday, it bore no resemblance to the way our players play. We try hard, but we just aren't at that level. DJ, Geron and Joe are; I would have said that Shaq was but he has leveled off, and I would say that Wilson and Hall also are. The other guys try hard, but they don't have the sense of urgency that you need.

It says that we had a really ****** night. Everything that could go wrong did. Just one of those games. It happens. I hate that it happened on ESPN, but it did. Move on.
