That's not unusual....I have noticed that we always have a bunch of guests.

i normally only log in to post comments and if i am just viewing i don't log in so i am sure a lot of the guests are actual viewers doing this same thing

After a game is when a lot of people are looking at this board and I mean a lot. After the game tonight, look and there will be about 500 or more guests. 04-rock

I don't ever log out. I am logged in on my laptop, desktop at home, desktop at work and my iPad. Oh, and my phone....LOL

This site is regularly crawled by google and ranks fairly high in terms of search rankings. Couple that with the fact that you don't have to log in to read the main forum and there's your answer.

I wouldn't be surprised if 10% of reported "users" (IPs) were related to search engine bots and sp@m bots attempting to register accounts

Bingo. I run a website of similar size to this one and I have bot crawlers on it all the damn time. Everything from Google to MSN to Bing and Yahoo. And multiple crawlers from those sites at most times. Hell sometimes I'll have upwards of 10 just from Yahoo on there. And that's before you even get to the crawlers from international sites. I had to block a whole range of IPs from China because they were crawling the site so much.
