The dunk contest this year was pure unadulterated crap. At one point, I was wondering if there would be any actual dunks made in the dunk contest. It was so bad at one point, that I was just wanting them to lower the rim to the 8 foot girls junior league level and have a go at it from that height.
DJ would have owned that contest so bad that it would have been hard to get victims to sign up for it next year.

Per Xavier game notes, total of 13 NBA teams have been granted credentials so far for Xavier-Memphis game Tuesday night.

Are you implying they are there for DJ?
I imagine Adonis, Gerron and Shaq have raised some eyebrows.

That isn't implying, that is stating a fact.
Since this a "DJ is a pro?" thread and you note that there are pro scouts in the house, one might think your implication is that the scouts are there for DJ.

Are you implying that after DJ's scoring the past few games, and a number of double doubles, and the fact he's the most offensively efficient player in the country, that none of the scouts would be looking at him? According to your reply, one might think your implication is that a scout wouldnt want to check that kind of player out.
And if that's what you are implying, you would be wrong. So there you have it.

Good Lord, they will be there...hopefully d.j. will have a good game. Anyone with good sense knows they are not there just to see d.j. Give it a rest, please.

Whether DJ is pro material or not, there is no doubt, it has been said many times, DJ has been garnering attention from NBA scouts.

I hope the players don't think this game is some kind of showcase.

Why would it be? They play in front of NBA scouts all the time. More this time of year probably.

Didn't know that. Some of the comments in this thread made me think there was a larger number than normal present for this game.
We need to focus on the task at hand, that's all.

CDR was a great NBA player, but his reputation and personality killed his career.

During his time at the Nets, CDR was a below replacement level player who was a good scorer, but was too slow to get into his move and had to dominate the ball for too much of the NBA shot clock to get his points, and if they weren't there, there was no time to get into anything else, so he tended to make his teammates worse when he had the ball in his hands.
He was at that time a border line rotation/end of the bench type player, add his mouth to that, and ain't nobody had time for that.
He's done very well in the d-league. I don't know if he's getting into his move quicker or what. But obviously, his reputation has made it difficult for him to break onto a roster.
If CDR was a great NBA player his attitude wouldn't have mattered. Just look at DeMarcus Cousins who will be given chance after chance because he is so talented. Or, hell, look at Jordan and Bryant, two actual great players notorious for being complete and utter ******** to their teammates.

The Griz have 3 second round picks. If they don't snag him up with one of them, I'll be SHOCKED.

I'd be incredibly shocked to see him go in the draft. I wouldn't be too shocked, maybe mildly surprised if he got invited to a camp. I would be extremely shocked if that translated into a roster position but not all that shocked if that translated to a stint in the D-league.
