I think his point was that the more you post, the more we have to scroll past that huge-ass picture in your signature.

He and Frim are the reason I ignore sigs..

The point is every election people vote, not corporations, cabals, or secret societies. Do these groups buy politicians? sure but then again politicians are also bought by community activist groups and labor unions.

As a people we are so damn busy voting to get as much stuff as we can that we are easy prey. My problem with Carlin is that he largely thought we should be voting for better education, better health care, more help for the poor.

But that is the exact attitude that lets politicians take money from these groups and buy votes! Carlin was a stooge for the very thing he bitched about.

Oh sure, he hated the far right, but he was so in bed with the far left that he was a cog in the machine.

If you're voting to give people crap and not to protect their freedom and liberty then you're part of the problem, not the politicians and their money

The president doesn't golf. That's all been a conspiracy.

That's clearly photo-shopped. Obama is a metrosexual. He waxes his legs.

I've spent a long time encouraging liberals to see the value of having more tools in their linguistic tool box, but when "B1+$h" is their primary adjective and adverb, when using “big” words is excoriated, and every “art” form they enjoy diminishes rather than exalts language, what can us conservatives do?

Yet the right wing is the one saying they need to do better messaging!

Although their problem is that enough people are educated enough to understand what they stand for.

Well, the democrats love the nanny state. They think they know better than others and would rather do all the thinking for them, rather than letting them think for themselves.

Keeping people dependent to maintain a permanent constituency. Genius in its simplicity.

We are all dependent on government to supply things like roads, schools, laws for basic food safety, fire coverage and a whole host of things. Define 'nanny state".

I think Obamacare is a great first step. People should not be freeloading off those of us who pay insurance. I do believe that everyone should have access to healthcare even if called socialist or nanny state.

Did Joe mandate that every women buy a shotgun?

Robert Byrd was in the Ku Klux Klan. Your point?

I don't think the way to get 15% of Americans insured is to wreck it for the other 85%

No, Joe's not mandating anything, not that he wouldn't like to.

**** the poor. In no other country is there greater opportunity to rise above the chains of one's birthing.

I loathe anyone of this great county that claims that the system has prevented their advance. They simply need to look closely into the mirror and realize who is responsible for their plight. I care little for their economic status nor their suffering, as they continue to waddle in the filth of their own making, independent of any responsibility on my part.

Bloomberg is the very definition of a rino. He's no conservative and he wouldn't dare identify himself with the right wing.

He's a f.cking egomaniacal daddy's boy.

There are no real poor in America. Go to Liberia and see poor.

Really? Hmm, where do they work or get their profits to pay for all those? Oh, they don't make profits? They get that money from me through taxes to pay for those services? Hmm, Ok. Tell me how I'm "dependent" on the government again?

Damn, your thinking is ass backwards. They take my money, build or provide things with that money, then turn around and expect me to thank them for providing me with things that I had to pay for? No f'n wonder there is such a disconnect between the left and reality.

Not to mention that the realization of the promise, a far better life, has typically been *a generational* promise.

yes some people in our history got off the boat with nothing and ended up rich. But more often than not it was the illiterate mans kid who finally got through high school, and the high school graduates kid who finally went to college, ...

And they did it by hard work and prudent choices.

Kids today think because they spent 200 grand on a degree from some diploma mill, or on a joke degree from a real school, that they should automagically be doing better than their parents.

Being slaves on this comfortable plantation is not particularly bad. Not understanding that you are a slave is another thing. The leftists embrace slavery.
