Looks like by their schedule the Bluejays lose if they don't score 70. UC has to play great d on them and hope they get officials that will let them mix it up. And UC has to score at least 60-65 to win.

If UC gets past Creighton, Duke is a very tall order.
Literally, Plumlee will have a field day against the Bearcats.

you think? Say what you will about mbodj, he has been great in post defense. Way more concerned about mcdermont..don't trust are 4's to guard him... Parker or Thomas?

We are absolutely screwed if they call the game tight. Two of the top 50 FT shooting teams in the country in Creighton and Duke. Very few skilled big men anymore and we are matched up with two of the best. Pretty bad draw.

Got to go with experience and put Parker on him. Thomas lost his man a number of times against GTown.

How the frack does Cal get to play as a #12 seed in Santa Clara? That's a home game for Cal. Cal must have a rep on the committee.

Yup. As usual the committee matches UC with the kind of team they struggle the most with. Short stay this year in the City of Brotherly Love.

Their seeds may be high but Berkley got a gift playing in Santa Clara.

Not last year. It was a very good draw.

I thought UC's first round draws the last two years were perfect (especially Missouri 2 years ago). Last year fsu was a great team but suited us well. I liked the uconn draw too when it came out but kemba was just absurd.

Maybe the committee was kind the past two years but if you go back over the past two decades, in general the committee has not been kind to the Cats.

Add in the fact that Texas scored the highest % of points in the country from the FT line and we were one of the least foul prone teams.

Play great d on creighton and hold them under 70. Their losses are when they are held under 70. Cats must score more than 70 and that may be a chore unless the Bluejays don't play d. It's been a while since the Cats have scored 70+.

Duke will crush UC.

all Duke would have to do is let UC throw a pass inside, under the basket, and then watch our big men get flustered and dribble out of bounds or drop the passes.
