Too much of it going on.

Conference members can pat each other on the back all day long.... In their own board.

Tolerance is thin, and forum bannings are in order.

awwww. c'mon, guys. we have been together for so long that it's unreasonable to expect us to come apart without some towel snappin'

People continue to do it and find themselves forum banned, and asking why; even if their school is still in CUSA. We forum ban in the event they can still get along with posters from another board.

No problem with civil conversations, or even why they feel the way they do (for or against) CUSA.

But when someone is just here saying things like "Enjoy the SunBelt", "C-SUCKS", and crap like that, they are gone.

The admins will back them. Warnings, and forum bannings will be handed out and the leashes will be short. We are getting tired of cleaning up the messes.

How about conference members starting baiting/trolling threads? They start problems as well, and I don't know why they are allowed to stay on the board? The same crap happens in them, minus everyone getting even more pissed off at each other.

Here is some advice that might help. If you think you are being baited or trolled and it is going to upset you to the point you risk getting banned, then don't read it, or be mature enough to resist replying in such a manner as to get YOURSELF banned. I had another Southern Miss fan call me a dork but I just didn't reply and won't reply to him until he post something that is worth replying to. Just because someone else stoops to a low level doesn't mean you have to jump in with them.

You haven't been here 3 months, so you haven't picked up on the M.O.'s of some posters. And FYI, I don't read the obvious bait threads. But it gets annoying, while decreasing the board quality, when the same posters do it.

Well, just 126 days left til it's not a problem anymore...thank goodness.

I totally agree with you it does do more damage to the boards than is good. I realize too many at any board are often too unaware that they are lessening the quality or simply don't care, but those types just don't have the maturity level to do much else. I have been on this board only a short time, but I have been at other sites for a long time and left because it so often turned into people not posting because they didn't want to be called names or the things they were looking for in the site was ruined by the lower mentality posters. I guess the internet is a lot like life in that some just don't care enough for themselves or others but to show their rear end. I am just weeks away from being 60 and in my lifetime I have noticed those people all along, but these days it seems there are more of them or at least they are just more visible. Regardless, I find they usually lack enough real knowledge to carry on a conversation or debate without crawling into that hole. Glad to see the mods are aware of it, and maybe they can get at least some of them to settle down.

This board has always been great and up until the last go around of conf shuffling its been solid. Then those moving to the Aresco Conf left with their attitudes and their totally uncalled for and even more so unearned high and mighty attitudes. So anything given back to them has been earned. On top of that they only made themselves look stupid by believing their own Big East circle j erk stories that they continued to tell themselves. The funny thing is the ones crying about "bait threads" (common ECU practice I've noticed) even though its nothing of the sort are the ones who've turned it into a pissing match by getkting "offended" by reality. That happened on a couple threads I myself started and the whining was evident from the beginning. Again if you don't like the Pro-CUSA nature on a CUSA board then you're S-O-L.

It's not CUSA's fault that reality birch slapped those leaving in the mouth.

I'm with this guy. The only thing that pisses me off more than the defectors claiming the new C-USA sucks is when C-USA fans make threads about why the new Big East sucks then complain when nBE fans rip us. I come to the C-USA board for C-USA discussion, but half the threads contain something about the nBE and it's aggravating, because there's no real content to the threads, just one conference fanbase ripping the other. If I need to discuss nBE stuff, I'll go to their board.

You're absolutely correct that one side is as guilty as the other, but this is a CUSA board, so equal treatment shouldn't be expected when conference arguments break out.

If I sell my house and I openly brag to my old neighbors how much better the new neighborhood is and how glad I am to leave; I should expect some major push-back, especially if I'm standing in his house. Than that just starts a whole new round of bigger/better/richer arguments the other way.

It's not hard to know who the fire starters are on both sides and in an equal environment, some on both sides probably should have had the finger point at them also. However its better to just read and ignore or don't read if it's too tempting to respond in kind.

In the end, you learn more about the flamer's ability/inability to communicate in a semi-mature manner than you do the poster or cause they are flaming.

It's easy to understand the mods/admins loss of patience in dealing with adults acting like kids.

Either side with "unearned high and mighty attitudes" should be dealt with. That includes "lol Aresco Conf sucks pee pee" to "ha I wouldn't touch CUSA with a 10 ft pole". Four of the defectors are here until July, two more until next year. As of now, they are still CUSA members.

And it is one thing to post a legitimate article. It is a whole different can of worms to speculate/assume/devil advocate. And you know exactly what you are doing when you post "getkting "offended" by reality" threads.

I don't think there is any smack in this thread. But it is not like only one side is causing all of the issues. It is pretty close to 50/50. If there is a judgement, I want guilty parties on both sides to feel the wrath.

I agree, no smack. It's ok to vent. I got no problem with that.

The thread is a warning so folks don't feel it comes as a surprise. Some have already been forum-banned. They are the most obvious posters getting into pee-pee matches.

I don't want posters to leave. This forum has the most character of all. And not just this site, but other sites as well.

I urge the defectors trashing C-USA to understand that you will be kept on a shorter leash. This is the C-USA board. If you want to continually bash C-USA please go to the Big East board to do so. You may not think that is fair but we simply do not care. We are sick of it. You will be treated as a fan of a visiting conference per the AUP.

If you don't like how the Big East is treated on this board tough. It's the C-USA board. Same goes for the Big East board. If you are a C-USA fan and you trash the Big East you will be dealt with accordingly.

If you think a C-USA poster is baiting posters here by all means use the report a post. Do not trash up the C-USA forum.

Bottom line is CLEAN IT UP!
