The Two Ideal Options
These are my two takes on Conference Realignment. In my opinion, both would be awesome. For lack of better terms, I will call them Old School and New School. Here they are:

OLD SCHOOL

Big 10, ACC, Big East, Pac 10, Big 8 and Southwest all play true round robins within the conference and do not have Championship Games. SEC, MAC, WAC, Sun Belt and C-USA play Conference Championship Games. Old School Bowl Alliances are the rule (i.e Big 8 to the Orange, SWC to the Cotton, Big 10 v Pac 10 in the Rose, SEC to the Sugar and the Fiesta keeps two open at-large spots)

Sorry for the lengthy post. I just think either of these two options would be far superior to the mess that college football is giving us right now. The Old School Model is awesome and treasures the tradition and classic rivalries of college football. The New School model is a nice clean model that does its best to keep all important rivalries intact and provide a format for crowning a true national champion.

Put ND into the independent column and Cincy in the ACC and you have a deal.

I will sign off on that right now. :)

I like it, but you forgot UMass, Georgia State, Old Dominion, and UNC-Charlotte.
